The Bruins have called up forward Ryan Spooner from the team's AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. As of right now, this is a precautionary move in the case of injured Brad Marchand not being able to play in Wednesdays game in Montreal. Spooner has put up nine goals and 21 assists in 35 games played this season for Providence. Marchand, was injured in Saturday nights win in Toronto, when he was tripped up skating hard towards the net and ended up going shoulder-first into the boards. Back to Spooner though, the 21-year-old was drafted by the Bruins in the second round of the 2010 NHL draft (45th overall) and has spent this season skating with the Providence Bruins. Prior to that, Spooner spent four seasons bouncing around on different OHL teams, posting point totals 58, 54, 81 and 66 respectively from '08-11. As far as filling in for Marchand, Spooner stands at 5-10, 180 pounds, one inch taller than #63 and three pounds lighter. Here's a quick summary of Spooner's game, from Hockey's
