It has become a very scary trend. During the entire 2011-2012 season, the Boston Bruins were 32-0 when going into the third period with a lead. A flawless record. So far in this shortened 2013 season, the Bruins have lost five games in which they entered the final stanza with a lead. The most recent example coming tonight on the road at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets. Looking to bounce back after a sluggish 2-1 loss on the road Sunday against the Penguins, the B's took to the MTS Center Ice against a Jets team on the cusp of getting themselves back into the playoff picture. Boston displayed a picture perfect first two periods on the road, playing stout defense and taking advantage of a fortunate bounce early in the second period to grab a 1-0 lead, a lead which held true as the teams took to the ice for the third period.
