The Boston Bruins finished a near-perfect November with a 6-3 victory over the host Maple Leafs on Wednesday.
Zdeno Chara capped the best month of his career with a goal and an assist as the Bruins finished the month without a regulation loss (12-0-1).
Boston had only six points through the first 10 games of the season, but the November surge has carried the Bruins to the top of the Northeast Division - one point ahead of Toronto.
Chara's two-point effort gave him 14 points in November, the most he has ever had in any one month. Milan Lucic scored twice and David Krejci added a goal and two assists as the Bruins beat Toronto for the third straight time this season.
Boston has outscored the Leafs 19-5 in those contests.
