The Florida Panthers were the best team in the Southeast Division last season, totaling 94 points and earning the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. This season has not been so bright in Sunrise.
Kevin Dineen‘s club currently sits in fourth place in the Southeast, having totaled just 14 points through 17 games, and has dropped six of its last seven contests. Those struggles start between the pipes, as Jose Theodore, Scott Clemmensen and Jakob Markstrom have combined to post a 3.60 goals against average that is dead last in the NHL. The Panthers will look to get back on track when they host the 10-2-2 Bruins on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Miami Herald’s George Richards joined NESN Daily to preview the matchup. Check it out in the video above.

Jonathan Huberdeau has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season for the Florida Panthers thus far.
The rookie out of Saint-Jerome, Quebec, leads the team in both goals and points through 18 games, and earned a spot on highlight reels around the country with his nifty penalty-shot goal against Philadelphia’s Ilya Bryzgalov on Thursday. The third overall pick in 2011...
from George Richards of On Frozen Pond at the Miami Herald,
Despite having time to cool off, it was obvious Dineen was still fuming afterward.
Dineen was upset for Kopecky being flagged for what Pittsburgh's Chris Kunitz wasn't when he jabbed the puck past Jacob Markstrom in the second. Kopecky was trying to get a puck past Fleury -- just as Kunitz did to put the...

Listen to these announcers from the Florida Panthers, the Bruins forward Milan Lucic wold have been better off if he had just challenged Mike Weaver to a fight, than react this way. It was a blown call by the on ice officials.
Weaver just got cross-checked by Lucic. Appropriately heading to the box. 4 minute power play for the #FlaPanthers

The Bruins don't have to go far for their next game. After a two day break in Florida the Bruins are going from Tampa Bay to Sunrise Florida, right near Miami. Florida road games are usually the most relaxing for the Bruins and this year is the calm before the storm. The Bruins get to spend a few days in Florida before March roles around and the schedule hits hard.
Evgeni Malkin got thrown into the boards by Florida’s Erik Gudbranson with 15 minutes left in the third Period and didn’t return. It looked like he may have gotten whiplash. He also looked a little woozy as he headed to the locker room. The Pens went on to score two goals after he left and won the game 3-1.

8 a.m. ET: The Bruins have gotten some much needed rest and relaxation in the last few days, and they did so under the comfort of the Florida sun. However, it’s back to business on Sunday afternoon in Sunrise, Fla.
The B’s will finish up their two-game swing through Florida with a showdown against the Panthers. The Bruins will look to add to the Panthers’ ongoing misery, as...
Jon predicted a 4-2 win during the DOY pregame show. So close Jon, so close.
Although Zdangle's goal should probably count as ten goals because it was so awesome. Even the Florida defense was mesmerized by the pure beauty of that goal. We heard Chara's wife's orgasm all the way in our mom's basement.
Before Chara embarassed the entire Florida team the...
