Nemo has turned Saturday matinee hockey into Saturday night hockey.
The Bruins and the NHL announced Friday that their Saturday game with the Tampa Bay Lightning, originally scheduled for 1 p.m., will now start at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.
The decision comes as Boston and the rest of New England brace for Blizzard Nemo, which is expected to dump up to 2 feet of snow (and maybe more in some places) on the region.
The Bruins aren’t expected to hold a morning skate prior to the game.

After eight seasons, which included four All-Star appearances, a pair of Vezina Trophies and a Stanley Cup, the Tim Thomas era in Boston has come to close.
This came according to the Bruins on Thursday afternoon, as Boston traded Thomas to the Islanders for a conditional second-round draft pick in 2014 or 2015. Thomas is sitting out this season, but in his time minding the net...

The Boston Bruins have postponed Saturday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning because of the blizzard that dumped more than 2 feet of snow on the area.
No makeup date had been scheduled yet, according to a Bruins spokesman.
Originally scheduled for 1 p.m., the game was pushed back until 7 p.m. to allow the storm to pass. But public transportation was not expected to...
It’s been fairly evident all along that Tim Thomas wasn’t going to play for the Bruins (or anyone else) this season. The team knew that, and so did the rest of hockey.
So it may have been a little puzzling as to why the B’s unloaded Thomas to the New York Islanders for a conditional second-round pick on Thursday afternoon. But it all makes sense when you take into account salary...
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Anders Lindback made this miraculous save on Travis Zajac on Thursday night. This is one of those instances where it’s very helpful to be 6’6″ and extremely athletic. Lindback finished the game with 23 saves as the New Jersey Devils beat the Lightning 4-2.[YouTube]
Tampa Bay Lightning (6-3-0) @ New Jersey Devils (5-1-3)
This is the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Devils took 3 of the 4 meetings between the two teams last season.
The big news of the day is that Zubrus will be a scratch tonight, dealing with what’s being called an “Upper Body” injury and Stephan Matteau will suit up for his 6th game meaning...
We all knew this day was coming, we just didn't know when. Today is that day. Vezina, Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup Champion Tim Thomas has been traded to the New York Islanders, the Land of Misfit Goalies.
Reports out there are correct: #Isles have acquired G Tim Thomas for a conditional 2nd-rounder in either 2014 or 2015.

I have had enough of watching this ******* Bruins power play. You know, if this was something new to the season, I'd be able to handle something as vile as the Bruins going on a 5-on-4 and not being able to enter the zone, but we're looking at a deficient power play for the past three season. Three-*******-season of a power play that has looked lost, sloppy and uncoordinated...
