The Nosebleeds OLD:
After being the subject of many trade rumors David Krejci has been signed to a three-year extension and will remain a Bruin through the 2013-14 season. The 25-year old center was drafted by the Bruins in 2004 and has been with the big club full-time since 2007. Krejci led all players in points in last season's Stanley Cup playoffs.
Krejci is perhaps the Bruins most gifted center, at least currently, but has been frustrating to watch at times because of the top line's inconsistencies. When they are on they can take over a game and carry the team through rough stretches but when they are off they can create slumps for the B's. Much of that credit and blame is attributed to Krejci.
The main knock on Krejci and the first line is that they 'take nights off' but it's not to the extreme that Michael Ryder took it. When Krejci is off he's still a very good player and someone you want in your top 6. We don't know the numbers quite yet (which shouldn't be that much more than his linemates at $4 million) but I like having Krejci around for three more years, he's just reaching his peak years and has shown to be a difference-maker in the Bruins most important games.
