Ryan Spooner is heading south again. The Bruins announced Monday morning that they are sending the 21-year-old forward back to Providence. This comes less than a week after Spooner was recalled by the team following an injury to Loui Eriksson. That might mean that Eriksson, who is back to practicing, could be getting set to return. Spooner played in two games with the Bruins after being recalled prior to the team’s game with Anaheim on Oct. 31. He notched a pair of assists — his first two NHL points — in those two games. He spent the time in Boston centering the third line, despite the fact that Chris Kelly ended up taking most of the faceoffs for that line. After having a tremendous preseason, Spooner was sent to Providence to start the season before the latest recall. Eriksson, who has been out since Oct. 23 with a concussion, was on the ice Monday for his second practice since being injured. He was wearing a gold jersey along with Patrice Bergeron, Jordan Caron and Brad Marchand.Filed under: Boston Bruins, Headlines, Mike Cole, Providence Bruins
