Boston Sports Then & Now:
With the NHL Lockout dragging on, players have found success in Europe. Bruins’ star Tyler Seguin has been killin’ it in the Swiss League for EHC Biel/Bienne. Seguin is scoring at a TORRID pace on the ice (23 pts=13 goals & 10 assists) and probably with the Swiss ladies as well.
The ladies are probably swooning over “The Kid” even more after the club’s latest “Be Proud Of Biel” marketing campaign. Both Seguin and new arrival Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks are getting their “Road Warrior” on.
Both players are dressed up in “Mad Max” garb armed with medieval butcher cleavers.
ONE PROBLEM: How are Seguin & Kane going to get these on the plane when the NHL Lockout ends?
BEST OF MAXIM
When the Bruins made Tyler Seguin the No. 2 pick in the 2010 NHL entry draft, B's fans daydreamed about what the young forward would bring to the club.
They found out early and often that Seguin's playmaking ways would turn him into a franchise cornerstone. What Bruins fans probably didn't see coming, though, was that Seguin would one day be featured...
Tyler Seguin and his EHC Biel teammates had a long break in action recently so the 20–year-old Bruins sniper did what any sane Black and Gold superstar would do — he headed back to New England.
On Tuesday, Seguin and his buddies from EchoStor took a stroll down to Bristol, Conn., to check out ESPN headquarters. There, the forward was given a tour of The Worldwide Leader and stopped...
Hey remember that time Zdeno Chara and Miroslav Satan played on the same team?
Well, Chara doesn't. And after this hit he laid on Satan (skip to :53 seconds) we don't think Satan will remember much of it either:
No word on if Slovan Bratislava fans called the cops on Chara after the hit or not. Pretty sure Montreal did just out of habit...
The Bruins had an easy time in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia Flyers. The conference finals would be a totally different animal.
Fresh off a loss from Game 1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Bruins looked to bounce back in an important Game 2 at the TD Garden. While the B’s had shown an ability to come back from a 0-2 hole against Montreal earlier in...
To say that Tyler Seguin is flourishing during his time in Switzerland -- well, that just wouldn't give his performance so far justice.
Through 14 games with his club, EC Biel, Seguin has 22 points, including 10 goals. That includes his most impressive performance -- a four-goal game just this week.
Seguin got one of those goals thanks to the newest addition...
Ever wonder what Ray Bourque was like in the locker room or what types of discussions the Bruins front office had before drafting Tyler Seguin? Well, the Boston Bruins Foundation is giving fans a chance to ask team president Cam Neely questions such as those as part of a lunch with the Hall of Famer.
The Boston Bruins Foundation is raffling off a chance for one...
After taking care of business against old foes like Montreal and Philadelphia, the next team the Bruins would face in their 2011 Stanley Cup run was a bit of an upstart — the Tampa Bay Lightning.
After defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round and sweeping the top-seeded Washington Capitals in the second, the Lightning were riding high as they ventured into the TD Garden...
