from Joe Haggerty of NECN, Here’s what the B’s Captain said back on Oct. 29:
“I believe in this team. I know what we have,” (Zdeno) Chara said. “I know we are in a deep hole but if anybody can get out of it, it’s this team.”
It was the last time the Bruins have tasted the bitterness of defeat this season, and they’ve now won nine games in a row after a 1-0 victory over the Canadiens in their own backyard.
The Bruins were far from good. They got outshot by a 32-18 margin through the three periods, but hot goaltending play and sound defense trumped tough nights from Boston’s skill guys at the forward position.
“We played a little on our heels tonight,” said Claude Julien. “We weren’t very good on the walls, and I thought they were the better team in an area we’re usually pretty good at. What I liked is that we found a way to win, defensively we weren’t that bad and Tim [Thomas] was huge for us.”
The nine-game winning streak is the longest for the B’s since a 10-game win st

Milan Lucic and the Bruins practiced in Buffalo on Tuesday afternoon.
This game has a couple of tasty sub-plots in that it is a four point divisional game that will determine first place in the Northeast. Then, there's the 'paybacks are a *****" under-current.
Lucic knows full well that the 18,690 inside First Niagara Center will want to rattle his cage from the...
Apparently Dr. Mark Recchi has stirred up the Vancouver Canucks with a few of his comments he made on a radio show in Boston Last week.
You can hear Recchi's comments on the media file below. If my memory serves me right I also recall saying some of the same things about the Vancouver Canucks, " I have said in the past that the Vancouver Canucks are one of the most unlikable...
All eyes will be on Buffalo Wednesday night. The hockey world will be watching to see if the Sabres will finally show some kind of response as Milan Lucic and the Bruins visit the HSBC Arena for the first time since Lucic crushed Sabres netminder Ryan Miller at the Garden back on Nov. 12. I'm not expecting much. The Sabres didn't even have the guts to give Lucic a dirty look...

Montreal, Vancouver and Buffalo are full of conspiracy theories regarding the Bruins. Not one of these cities can accept the fact that the Bruins are just better than them.Montreal loves, loves, LOVES to say the Bruins only win because they are goons. Two points on that:1) If you're complaining that the Bruins are too tough and rugged for your team to beat them, what does that...
The Bruins are back in Montreal, the site of their last loss of the season. That came back on Oct. 29, when a 4-2 setback dropped Boston to last place in the East at 3-7-0. It also appeared to finally wake the club up, as Boston has rattled off eight straight wins since. But Bruins coach Claude Julien isn't quite ready to send any thank yous to Boston's biggest rival for...
The Boston Bruins got off to a poor start this season. They were in last place in the East Conference in late October. Since then they have pulled off a streak of nine straight wins. This moves the Bruins into fifth seed in the East and they have the best goal differential in the league. Despite early problems, the Boston Bruins will be fine this year and that should surprise...
MONTREAL Good morning from the Bell Centre, where the Bruins will attempt to stretch their winning streak to nine straight games. The Bruins havent lost since Oct. 29, when they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Canadiens at this...

The biggest difference between American and Canadian hockey fans is the respectful manner in which Canadian fans conduct themselves while attending a live event; refusing to traffic in the vulgarity and brutality of their neighbours to the South, always treating the game with OMG FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT AT BELL CENTRE!
