On Monday, a number of Bruins players and coach Claude Julien will spend their off-day visiting Newtown, Connecticut, the suburban town still rattled after the December 14th shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. According to an article on MyFoxBoston.com, the Bruins have a number of activities planned, including a street hockey clinic for younger children, an autograph signing, and a clinic with the local high school hockey team. There is also a planned meeting between the attendees from the Bruins and a group of first responders. The same article states that head coach Claude Julien will attend, along with players Chris Bourque, Andrew Ference, Dougie Hamilton, Aaron Johnson, Adam McQuaid, Daniel Paille and Rich Peverley. This is a great story and it's awesome to see the team doing something like this to bring smiles to the faces of children who have endured such trauma in the recent months. Truly admirable stuff from the B's.
