I came across an ESPN article the other day in which ESPN Insider Neil Greenberg ranked his top 25 NHL players under the age of 25. Among the list were three Bruins; Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin. Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks was ranked number one and Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning was ranked second.Lucic was ranked 17th, Seguin 12th and Marchand 10th. These rankings are very interesting. In my opinion Lucic deserves his spot at 17th. Yes Lucic was once the blue collar rock-em sock-em player who's main purpose was to kick the opponents asses. However, in the past two years Lucic has stepped his game up immensely. During these years Lucic has surpassed 60 points, while also keeping to his bad-ass demeanor. The fact that he has developed stick skills makes him a very versatile player in this league, especially a player who fits the Bruins game style. This off season I felt the $6million per year contract extension was a bit much, but at the sam...

Bruins' Julien to coach youth team

Boston Bruins coach Claude Julien will keep busy during the NHL lockout. Julien has agreed to coach a youth hockey team later this month to raise money for charity. The team will be chosen by a raffle. NHL owners have locked out the players for the third time since commissioner Gary Bettman took office in 1993, including a work stoppage that canceled the entire 2004-05 season....

Bruins' Tyler Seguin "Interview of the Week" With HC Beil

HC Beil conducted an interview with Tyler Seguin in their "Interview of the Week" segment on their website. Here a sample of the goodness from that interview (translated through Google Translate): Tyler, why have you just chosen the EHC Biel during the NHL lockout? When I found out that the lockout is fact, I did not wait long and wanted to play. At least for me it was...

Brad Marchand Ranked Higher Than Tyler Seguin and Milan Lucic On 'Top 25 Under Age 25' List

Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand are two of the NHL's top young stars. They go into battle together on the ice and they're good friends off the ice, where T-shirts aren't always required. While the two have been dominant together for the Bruins over the last couple of years, no one has ever tried to size them up against each other, so to speak, to figure out which one...

Claude Coaching Youth Hockey, and Labor Talks "Yet Again" Resume

Earlier today ESPN reported that Claude Julien will spend the lockout coaching a youth hockey team for charity.I love these stories when players and coaches go out and giving back to the community. Imagine the faces on those kids when they hop on the ice and get to be taught by an NHL coach. In other Bruins news Zdeno Chara's KHL team was featured on ESPN2 last night against Alexander...

Zdeno Chara, Alexander Ovechkin Faceoff for First Time Since Eastern Conference Quarterfinals (Video)

Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals ended the Boston Bruins' season prematurely in the 2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. On Tuesday, Zdeno Chara got a chance to get some personal revenge. The Bruins' captain faced Alex Ovechkin and his Dynamo Moscow squad, and the Russian forward bested Big Z again, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win. The matchup between...
