Beantown Banter OLD:
"He's ready to go and will be in the lineup tonight," Julien said.
Initially it appeared the injury may have been a fracture. Luckily, it is not that serious and Kelly doesn't feel like he'll have to hold anything back against the Habs.
“I feel good, great actually,” Kelly said. “It was good to get back on the ice and get going again. I’m good to play tonight. I went back to see the doctors in Boston and they gave me the green light, saying everything is OK.”
Expect Kelly to wear a full cage for extra protection. He is unsure how long he'll have to take these extra precautions, but holds no hard feelings towards Gomez.
“It’s a hockey play,” Kelly said. “It’s part of the game. I know Gomez and he’s a good, honest player and works hard. I don’t think it was deliberate by any means.”
