The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Corey Tropp from the minors to fill in for injured center Cody McCormick. Buffalo's 2007 third-round draft pick rejoins the Sabres a week after making his NHL debut, in which he had a goal and assist in four games. Tropp also has four goals and three assists in 11 games this season with Rochester of the American Hockey League. Tropp is expected to play Wednesday night, when the Northeast Division-leading Sabres host New Jersey. McCormick sustained an undisclosed injury in a 3-2 shootout win at Montreal on Monday. Coach Lindy Ruff would only say that McCormick was not feeling well.

Sabres, Enroth No Match For Brodeur

Recap: Martin brodeur reminded everyone in Buffalo why he'll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer following his retirement. Throughout his storied career, Brodeur has certainly had the Sabres' number. The first time Lindy Ruff declared open season on goalies

We're probably beating a dead horse here but, just to prove how hypocritical Lindy Ruff is: Here's video from 2007, when his Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators line brawled, including Andrew Peters taking on Ray Emery. Emery doesn't even care if he wins these fights or not; he's just having a blast out there. Emery's awesome.Ruff's comments after that...

The craziness of the Sabres season

Can anyone recall a crazier start to a season for the Sabres? In just one month, I feel like we've lived through a season's worth of controversies/stories. I guess the more money Pegula brought about, the more problems we see. Alright, not really. I just wanted to use a Biggie song in this post and there you have it. I'm sure talk show hosts and sports editors...
