Former Nashville Predators' defenseman, Francis Bouillon (aka "The Cube") has been signed by the Montreal Canadiens. It is a one year deal worth $1.5 million. Bouillon returns to where his NHL career started. It is great for Franky as he could end his NHL career where it started.

Francis Bouillon is 5'8", 198 fire plug that can light people up. He isn't know for lighting the lamp, but is role player as a 5th or 6th defenseman. The greatest attribute that Bouillon has is that he isn't scared of anyone. If there is a much bigger player on the opposing third line, you bet Bouillon knocked him around a bit.

Playing in Nashville for the past three seasons was great. He was a solid and consistent depth defenseman. Very rarely would someone say that they don't like Bouillon, or he should be scratched.

This season, as knowing he would very likely become an unrestricted free agent, it seemed he enjoyed his time here. Kevin Klein and "Cube" really bonded during the later portion of the season and onto the playoffs. Both players grew mohawks to show they were d-partners. Klein and Bouillon have been defensive pairs for a while and it was nice to see some human in both of them.

Losing Bouillon does suck, but it is time to move on and give our prospects a look. The Montreal Canadiens now have a better and consistent player during his time in Nashville. Good luck Franky!
