Trade rumours have begun to run wild, and hockey ‘insiders’ everywhere are listing prices for players, and if they’re available or not. Feaster – while he hasn’t made any moves yet, is certainly beginning to see the light. When talking to Flames fans this season, the level of frustration appears to have hit an all-time high. Several fans have started hoping that Calgary loses, so that Jay Feaster realizes that there is an issue with the current roster, and finally takes off his blindfold. The Flame’s have been a tease this season. They play well for a few games, and everyone gets excited. The next game, they lose in terrible fashion, and go on a three game skid. It’s been a bumpy season, and the inconsistency is a real issue. Aside from the terrible statistical season, Calgary has seen some good signs. Mika...

Cody Eakin’s Hit on Matt Stajan ‘One of the Dirtiest Hits’ Bob Hartley Has Ever Seen (Video)

A head coach will stick up for his player 999 times out of 1,000, but Flames head coach Bob Hartley might want to watch game film before making crazy accusations. On Monday night, Cody Eakin caught Matt Stajan with his head down in the neutral zone — kind of. At first glance, the hit looked pretty dirty, but as Yahoo! Sports’ Puck Daddy points out, maybe it’s worth a second...

Is clock ticking on Iginla's tenure with Flames?

NASHVILLE It's one of those situations that tugs at the heart strings of sports fans. In Calgary, captain Jarome Iginla is an iconic figure. A native of Calgary's archrival Edmonton, he has earned a place in the city's sports history and imagination like few others, holding the franchise records for games played (1,215), points (1,093) and goals scored (523). But now...

Colin Dambrauskas: Debunking Kiprusoff to Toronto Rumors // Flames @ Predators

Follow me on Twitter!: @ColinDJD The Calgary Flames will be in Nashville to take on the Predators later tonight. Though the team teams are currently side by side in the standings, the Predators hold a 6-2-4 home record compared to an abysmal 3-7-2 road record for the Flames. The positive note for the Flames is that Nashville is currently on a four game losing streak and are...

How to Beat the Goalie: Kiprusoff

(Photo by: halifaxdrunk/Flickr) Miikka Kiprusoff is having a rough year early on. This season, the 36 year old is under the most scrutiny yet since the Calgary Flames haven't made the playoffs in four years. The loyal fans who wear the red in Alberta are starting to get impatient. For the past few seasons, the Flames have been struggling, including their starting...

Bobby Ryan, Jarome Iginla Remain at Top of Trade Wish List for Bruins Fans As Team Looks in Need of Shake-Up (Video)

A short time ago, the Bruins looked like an unstoppable juggernaut poised to cruise to a Northeast Division crown and a top seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Now, fans are getting a little restless. The team’s recent play hasn’t exactly been sterling, but the Bruins have shown some chinks in the armor. With the NHL’s trade deadline looming in the not-so-distant future...

Joey MacDonald’s slick glove save on Brendan Morrow

Dallas Stars forward Brendan Morrow had a wide open net when he got the pass from Erik Cole out front.  Calgary Flames goalie Joey MacDonald did the excellent job of going post-to-post and getting his glove out to make the save.  Lucky for Morrow the Stars went on to win 4-3 and so the sheer robbery by MacDonald didn’t come into play. What Happens With Iginla?

from Eric Duhatschek of the Globe and Mail, The goal for any general manager in a position to sell is the same – drum up a market for his available players. If Feaster can interest two or more teams in Iginla – or in Jay Bouwmeester, Miikka Kiprusoff, Cory Sarich, Lee Stempniak or Mike Cammalleri – then he could get some tangible assets in return. No one can say for sure...

Flames-Predators Preview

Less than a week ago, Calgary soundly beat the Nashville Predators to extend its longest home winning stretch of the season. Based on the way the Flames have played on the road, they'd settle for any margin of victory in the teams' next meeting. The Flames look to avoid their first eight-game road skid in 13 years while trying to hand the Predators a season-high fifth consecutive...

Follow me on Twitter!: @ColinDJD As many fans anticipated, the Calgary Flames lost to the Dallas Stars last night 4-3 as they couldn’t recover after Dallas took an early 3-0 lead and are now winless throughout seven games on the road. Furthermore, the Flames have yet to compile more than a two game win streak which continues to be daunting with respect to the thought of playoffs...

Game 31: Calgary @ Nashville – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Photo by Gerry Thomas/NHLI via Getty Images The scene pictured above is one of elation and gratification when the Calgary Flames trounced the Predators a week ago. On a night where the fans were given cowboy hats, Curtis Glencross helped them to doff their chapeau and celebrate with a 6-3 victory.
