Miikka Kiprusoff stopped two LA shooters and Olli Jokinen and Mike Cammalleri both scored to give the Flames the shootout win.
Kings captain Dustin Brown opened the scoring 3:28 into the first period when he found a bouncing puck on his stick right in the slot. He wasted no time firing the puck past Miikka Kiprusoff’s stick to put his team up 1-0.
Not to be outdone, Jarome Iginla evened the score with an absolute rocket from the side boards midway through the 2nd period. It was Iggy’s 502nd NHL goal and it was a ripper.
