PLAYERS: Cam Neely
TEAMS: Boston Bruins
Cam Neely has done many things over his career in hockey, from starring as a power forward with the Bruins in the 80s and 90s before taking over as team president and eventually winning a Stanley Cup in 2011. That’s all well and good, but where Neely’s hockey success have really given him an opportunity to do big things is in the acting world. While he’ll never quite accomplish behind the camera what he did on the ice, Neely has shown the ability to at least hold his own when it comes to acting. Neely’s role in the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber may be reprised in the upcoming sequel, and the Boston president is reportedly interested in returning to the movie set — if he can find time while running a hockey club. If he were to return, it would be the latest addition to what’s a relatively lengthy acting resume. In addition to being Sea Bass, Neely has also done acting for movies like Me, Myself and Irene; Stuck On You; What’s the Worst That Could Happen?; and the TV show Rescue Me. Tha...

Replacing Nathan Horton

Boston, MA – It is a moment that many Bruins fans likely thought would not come so quickly. After Peter Chiarelli made a draft day deal that rescued Nathan Horton from the purgatory that is the Florida Panthers and brought him to a relevant, cup-contending hockey organization three years ago, it seemed like a match made in heaven. Horton, a big, skilled power forward with a...

Report: Horton to leave Bruins

It appears a key piece in the Bruins' 2010-11 Stanley Cup run will not be back in 2013-14. Nathan Horton has told Boston he wants to explore free agency, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN, who spoke to the winger's agent, Paul Krepelka. "It's not a financial issue, just a decision to move on," Krepelka said. Horton's unrestricted free agency rights are...

Cam Neely wants to reprise his role as Sea Bass in Dumb and Dumber To

Time for some pop culture news. The sequel to Dumb and Dumber has the green light and the script is currently being developed. The sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, will once again feature everyone's favorite morons Lloyd (Jim Carey) and Harry (Jeff Daniels) some 20 years after we were first introduced to them in 1994.  Why are we talking about this on a hockey blog? Because...

Jaromir Jagr is gone, but at least we’ll always have this commercial featuring him as a firefighter

This is already shaping up to be an interesting offseason for the Bruins, who have a lot of big decisions to make regarding the future of the franchise. Bruins’ Draft Picks Heavy on Europeans, New England Players Hoping to Eventually Break Through

The Bruins had become pretty accustomed to selecting big-name potential talent with first-round picks in the last few years. Over the past three drafts alone, the B’s nabbed Tyler Seguin, Dougie Hamilton and Malcolm Subban. So they were in a somewhat unfamiliar position Sunday in New Jersey when the B’s were without a first-round selection for the 2013 NHL entry draft. Boston’s...

Patrice Bergeron Says He Has No Regrets After Playing Through Serious Injuries in Stanley Cup Final

There was no questioning Patrice Bergeron‘s toughness before the Stanley Cup playoffs began, but the Bruins forward left no doubt with what he went through this postseason. Bergeron played through a daunting list of injuries all the way through the Stanley Cup Final, as the center was dealing with a rib injury that included a cartilage tear, a punctured lung and a separated shoulder...

Boston Looking For A Replacement For Nathan Horton

from Joe Haggerty of CSNNE, So Horton is likely moving on to a locale like Florida or Tampa where he can play in relative anonymity after seeing how the other half live for three years in Boston. That leaves the Bruins looking for a replacement to step into a first-line right-wing role alongside Milan Lucic and David Krejci, a spot that’s pretty critical to Boston’s overall...

A Look At The Bruins 2013 NHL Entry Draftees

Bob McKenzie did his annual "huge hockey trade" tweet and was dead wrong, just like he was dead wrong about Iginla and just like he...
