Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust will be out for the next four weeks with a shoulder injury, as per the team’s official Twitter account. Prust suffered the injury after crashing hard into the boards in the 3rd period in the team’s 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators. With forward Daniel Briere also leaving the game with a concussion, the team has recalled forwards Patrick Holland and Michael Blunden from their AHL affiliate Hamilton Bulldogs. Prust has been primarily playing on the Habs’ 4th line this season and on their penalty kill. He’s averaging 13:07 TOI this season, with a 2:37 average in shorthanded situations. Other players will have to step up to pick up the slack while down a man. While Prust is not much of an offensive threat, he has managed to score two goals and one assist in eight games this season. With George Parros still out, the Canadiens will primarily miss his physical presence on this ice.
