The Saddledome was flooded this summer. It was operational last night for the Flames’ home opener.
It’s not sunny in Philadelphia right now when it comes to hockey. The Flyers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Carolina Hurricanes to fall to 0-3-0 this season and they have scored just three goals in three games. Steve Mason stopped 32-of-35 shots in the loss.
Luke Schenn scored his first goal of the year for the Flyers while Jay Harrison (1) and Radek Dvorak (2) tallied for the Hurricanes. Anton Khudobin stopped 17-of-18 shots in the win. It’s frustrating to figure out where the problems lie in Philly and I don’t want to begin to figure it out. I’m low on Advil among other things.
Let’s just say this. There is a time for patience to be exercised and there is a time to panic. We’re getting closer with each game to the point of panic. It’s the second straight year the Flyers started 0-3-0 and they had a difficult time in even getting to .500. If they can’t get it done in their next game ...
