Canes place Yelle on waivers

The Hurricanes have placed veteran center Stephane Yelle on waivers, general manager Jim Rutherford confirmed. The Canes signed Yelle to a one-year contract in August that would pay him $550,000. Yelle has centered the team's fourth line. He has no goals and one assist in the first 10 games.
