Captain Henrik Sedin and David Booth scored power-play goals while Roberto Luongo made 17 saves and notched an assist as Vancouver captured its second consecutive Presidents' Trophy with a 3-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

The Canucks finished two points ahead of the New York Rangers for first overall in the league and two in front of St. Louis for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Samuel Pahlsson also tallied for the Canucks, who won their last seven home games and eight of nine overall.

After a major scrum with just over five minutes remaining in the second period gave Vancouver a power play, Sedin cashed in to give his team the lead. Devan Dubnyk stopped defenseman Alex Edler's blast from the right point, but Alex Burrows dished the rebound to Sedin for a shot from the bottom of the left faceoff circle that ended his 22-game goalless drought.

Pahlsson doubled the advantage at 3:14 of the third, beating Dubnyk to the stick side with a one-timer from the top of the slot.

Booth added insurance during a power play midway through the session. Kevin Bieksa made a back pass in the neutral zone to Booth, who stormed across the blue line and undressed Edmonton defenseman Jeff Petry at the top of the left circle before beating Dubnyk from alone in front for his first tally in 11 contests.

Luongo turned aside five shots in each of the first two periods and seven in the third for his 60th career shutout and fifth this season.

Dubnyk made 39 saves for the Oilers, who lost five of their final six contests.
