Sunday night in the pre game warm up Canucks winger Jannik Hansen grabbed himself a pen and brought his stick over to legendary KISS front man Gene Simmons for an autograph signing.
Gene, Shannon Tweed and daughter (19 year old) Sophie took in pre-game warm-up Sunday from the penalty box and Jannik Hansen, typically the one asked for his autograph, put the shoe on the other foot and approached Gene to sign his stick.
Gene Simmons had this to say about his John Hancock.
“I’m not surprised [Hansen] came over. He’s clearly a powerful and attractive man and he recognizes the God of Thunder who walks the Earth and he came to pay homage.”
The Simmons were in town to film an episode of Family Jewels.
Asked about the moment and Hansen had this to say.
“I asked him before I skated over there and obviously I had to get a pen, it’s not something I run around with in my pants.”
Jason Blake continued to make up for lost time with two goals and an assist as the Anaheim Ducks stayed hot in a 4-2 victory
Vancouver had won four of its previous five. But with the Simmons around took one on the chin Sunday night.
