Vancouver Canucks left wing Chris Higgins did not travel with his team on its current three-game road trip because of a mysterious hand injury. Higgins was taken to the hospital when his hand became severely swollen after practice Tuesday. Coach Alain Vigneault said the team is unsure what is wrong with Higgins’ hand but thought it could be related to the staph infection he was diagnosed with earlier in the month.
