The New York Rangers lost to the Washington Capitals by the score of 2-1 in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals matchup. The series is tied 3-3. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...absolutely embarrassing effort by the Rangers tonight. Not ready for the intensity that everyone in the hockey world expected the Capitals to come with. It boggles my mind that they weren't prepared tonight. IT'S THE STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS!!!!!

...which is why tonight's loss falls solely at the feet of Tortorella. How could he not have this team motivated? They came out like they thought the Capitals were going to lie down for them. And in the end it was the Rangers who laid down.

...and don't even get me started on the line combinations. I seriously need someone to explain to me what Tortorella sees in these lines combinations that have produced zero offense the last two games. This coming from the coach who usually changes line combinations like underwear. He has essentially neutered Stepan, Kreider and Callahan. When Emerick, Olczyk and McGuire are questioning not mixing the lines up you know you're having a bad night behind the bench. Made life too easy for Hunter to put checking line out there against Richards line. Mark my words, if Torts sticks with these lines for Game 7 they will lose.

...just six minutes for Kreider. Seriously, Torts? He gave the puck away three games ago. Get over it!

...remember last game when I said I'd never criticize the power play again? Yeah, forget that, they suck.

...if I hear one more so-called hockey expert talk about how great Holtby is I will lose my mind. Real easy to look like an All Star when there is no traffic in front, no rebound shots and pucks hitting him in the chest all night.

...another early penalty by Stralman really put the Rangers behind the eightball again.

...hey Lundqvist, stop playing the puck and start worrying about remembering how to save pucks going glove side high please.

...why wouldn't this series go to a Game 7? Hope everyone has time to re-fill their heart medication.

...off the next two days before Game 7 on Saturday night.
