The Caps 1st game will be played on 1/19   The NHL Lockout is finally over, and it is time for the Washington Capitals to get back to work. Die hard hockey fans have been patiently — and at times impatiently — waiting for this all off-season. Schedules were announced yesterday, and it looks like the Caps will open their shortened season on the road on January 19th vs the Tampa Bay Lighting. As you can see, their first home game will be played on January 22nd and hopefully Caps fans will rock the red and pack the Verizon Center for the long awaited home debut. The full schedule can be seen at the Capitals official site. The road to the Cup begins Saturday. It is about time!
