Hurricanes place Taylor Hall on injured reserve

The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Monday morning that they have placed veteran left winger Taylor Hall on injured reserve. Hall, who put up five points in eight games to start the season, is out on a week-to-week basis after he sustained an upper-body injury that forced him out of a key divisional showdown against the Washington Capitals.
