Jeff Carter’s Hard Work Paying Off

from Kevin Allen of USA TODAY, General manager Dean Lombardi believes that Jeff Carter's recent goal explosion is simply the dividend of sweat equity. He recalls seeing Carter and four or five teammates working out at a local football field last August on some days when the temperature pushed above 90 degrees. "They had the pylons out and it was hot, and I could...

Drew Doughty delivers 'rectum-rattling blast' on Alex Goligoski (Video)

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty leveled Dallas Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski during the second period of Thursday night's game at the Staples Center with a clean check along the boards that was described by Stars color commentator Daryl Reaugh as a "rectum-rattling blast". Now that's not something you hear every day. Where in the world did Reaugh...

Matthew Barry: Voynov Burns The Flames, Carter Scores Again

Drew Doughty shaved his beard and cut his hair hoping it would help his season long scoring drought. It didn't work but his stellar defensive play kept the Kings in the game long enough for a guy making 6.2 million dollars LESS to steal the show. It was a really weird beginning as 14 seconds into the game Mike Richards fired a shot from Center Ice that somehow got by Kiprusoff...
