Imagine a marketing ploy where a sports franchise takes a fat guy, has him strip off his t-shirt and dance on camera. Groundbreaking stuff, right? Here we were just minding our business this morning and then Columbus Blue Jackets’ super-pig, Dancing Kevin, shows up on our Facebook timeline. Perfect. Nothing suckers us in on a video like a fat guy painted with messages for Boston Bruins fan.

Might be the biggest rack you see all day on BC.

Premise of Video: Remember when teams just had a mascot dancing with fans or making asses out of themselves? Yeah, well fans are beyond bored with the old days. Now marketing research tells teams that fans want to see fat people because fat people are funny, especially men who tweak their nipples.

Climax of Video: Was that a pork tenderloin we saw flying in front of Kev?

Conclusion: Ho-hum. 5-3 Bruins win. The Blue Jackets have 8 wins and 20 points – both last in the NHL.

Bruins Use Spacing, Patience to Take Early Lead Against Kings at TD Garden

The Bruins' line of Benoit Pouliot, Chris Kelly and Zach Hamill was one that head coach Claude Julien had to put together for Tuesday's game against the Kings thanks to some injuries. Tuukka Rask Gets Start Against Kings, With Zdeno Chara, Gregory Campbell Sidelined

BOSTON -- Claude Julien doesn't often reveal his starting netminder before the game, but he made an exception Tuesday after the morning skate at the Garden. With back-to-back games and Tim Thomas' stellar record in Ottawa, where the Bruins visit on Wednesday, there was no real reason to hide the obvious choice of giving Tuukka Rask the start Tuesday night against Los Angeles...

Bruins Gut Out Win in Columbus Despite Things Not Going According to Plan

Things certainly didn't go as the Bruins would have planned Saturday night in Columbus. The uncharacteristically sloppy defense early on certainly wasn't what Claude Julien envisioned.
