LaRose (59) continues his hot play against the Senators this season by scoring 2 goals (via Phillip MacCallum) The Carolina Hurricanes left the RBC Center with a much needed two points after beating the Ottawa Senators 4-3. The Canes put themselves in an early 2-0 hole after just thirteen minutes. It only took the Canes 52 seconds after Marek Svatos scored the Senators’ 2nd goal to tie the game. Tuomo Ruutu scored the Canes’ first goal, Chad LaRose had two unanswered goals and Cory Stillman netted the eventual game winner on a nifty give-and-go from Eric Staal and Erik Cole. LaRose recorded his first multi-goal game since Nov. 21, giving him 15 on the season and he said the offense was “unselfish” in tonight’s victory. The good news is that the offense was clicking as it was the first time the Canes have scored 4 goals since Feb. 25 when they did it against the Penguins.
