Found March 13, 2013 on NESN.com:
The Bruins may be without Chris Kelly for the long haul. The team announced Wednesday that the third-line center will be out indefinitely after breaking his left tibia Monday against the Senators. Kelly needed to be helped off the ice after a leg-to-leg hit with Ottawa’s Chris Neil. He did not return in Boston’s shootout win and did not dress for the team’s game in Pittsburgh the following night. Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com speculates that the injury may keep Kelly out for up to six weeks, which would force him to miss the remainder of the regular season. This is the first serious injury of the 32-year-old’s career. Kelly has played at least 75 games in each of his seven full NHL seasons, playing the full 82 four times. He has totaled two goals and four assists in 23 games this season.

Chris Kelly to Travel With Bruins to Pittsburgh, No News Yet on Forward’s Apparent Leg Injury

The shortened NHL season, with its quick start and jam-packed schedule, was supposed to mean a plethora of injuries across the league. While some teams like the Senators have fallen in line with that, the Bruins have been one of the luckier clubs when it comes to medical issues this season. The B’s entered Monday’s game in Ottawa having missed just seven man games as team this...

Claude Julien Passes Milt Schmidt on Bruins’ Wins List, But Doesn’t See Himself in Same Class as B’s Legend

BOSTON — The Bruins won an ugly game on Thursday night, and in the process, Claude Julien passed another B’s legend. In a tenure that hasn’t always been aesthetically pleasing or without its bumps in the roads, Julien continued his ascent up the Bruins’ all-time wins list. With Boston’s 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers on Thursday night, Julien passed Milt Schmidt in career...

Keys To The Game Vs Florida

The last two times the teams faced off was back in February. The Bruins won 4-1. It was considered the calme before the storm of a rough scheduele ahead. So far it has proven true. Kellys injury...

Zdeno Chara Earning Midseason Accolades From Fans for His Fighting Prowess, Goal Scoring Alike (Video)

Halfway through the season, the Bruins have plenty of reasons to feel like awarding some attaboys. After all, they’re right in the hunt for the Northeast Division crown, have been able to avoid injuries to many of their key guys and have erased any worries about missing Tim Thomas thanks to the strong play of Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin. With that in mind, NESN Nation’s Dan...

Bruins Should Take Initiative Against Panthers, Set Foundation for Future Rivalry Thanks to Realignment (Video)

The Bruins and Panthers don’t have much of a history together, but that might not be the case for very long. After all, Florida is joining Boston in “Division C” next year because of the NHL’s realignment plan, and the two could very easily be seeing quite a bit of each other in the not-so-distant future. While the division in which the teams will battle hasn’t even been...

After loss to the Peguins, Bruins need for offense becomes clear

The Boston Bruins have a strong grip on the second spot in the North East division, leading Ottawa by 7 points and trailing Montreal by only 1. Other than a few missteps by the defense, there has not been much to critique. Tyler Seguin seems to have found his game having scored 4 times in the past 4 games. Tuukka Rask has answered any questions that may have remained about his ability...

SECOND LOOK: Daugavins' SO Attempt & Thornton's Choice Words

Shootouts are an NHL gimmick so if you're pissed at what Kaspar Daugavins did last night than, well, we don't know what to tell you. Here's his crazy move. It's a high risk, high reward maneuver. He nails it and Ottawa is singing songs of his grandeur. He fails and he looks like a giant chump who wasted a chance to win a game for his team. Thank god...

Bruins Blow Another Early Lead, Fall To Penguins. Should You Be Worried?

Penguins 3, Bruins 2 In a matchup of a few Eastern Conference favorites, the Bruins and Penguins had their first meeting of this condensed season on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh. While the Bruins came out of the gate strong and put up two early goals in the first period, they wound up choking away another lead and falling on their face as the Penguins reeled off three unanswered tallies...

RECAP: Chokely Carmichael. BRUINS LOSE.

As soon as the game was over the excuses poured in. Yes, we're sure the Bruins were tired after playing 65+ minutes the previous night. Yes, we're sure the Penguins relentless attack didn't help the Bruins energy reserves. But seriously. They scored their two goals and then just sat back and watched. You CAN'T do that against the Penguins. You just can'...

Panthers-Bruins Preview

The Boston Bruins have clearly played like one of the Eastern Conference's top teams, which is perhaps why their last result was so disappointing. A matchup at home Thursday night against the struggling Florida Panthers should provide Boston with a good opportunity to bounce back. The Bruins (17-4-3) won three in a row and nine of 11 prior to a 3-2 loss at Pittsburgh on Tuesday...

Bruins Beat Panthers 4-1

It wasn't the greatest win, but it was a win, and that is exactly what the Bruins needed after Tuesday's disaster. Behind the help of goals from Chara, Bergeron (2) and Thornton, and 29 saves on 30 shots for Tuukka Rask, the Bruins held off the Panthers 4-1.  The scoring started from captain Zdeno Chara on a slapper from the point. At the end of the first Bergeron found...
