Found March 13, 2013 on The Nosebleeds:
After colliding with the Ottawa’s Chris Neil during Monday night’s Bruins-Senators game, the B’s announced Wednesday that third-line center Chris Kelly will be out indefinitely after a broken left tibia. Kelly needed to be helped off the ice and didn’t return to the game. The recovery period is expected to be around six weeks, but with the shortened season it’s not inconceivable that the B’s won’t have him for the rest of the season. This is the first serious injury for the 32-year-old Kelly, who has been very reliable – playing at least 75 games in each of his seven full NHL seasons and all 82 four times. Kelly has been a productive and pivotal part of the B’s bench since they acquired him back in 2011 and has served as a Bruins alternate captain at home for the past two seasons. In 23 games this season, Kelly has tallied two goals and four assists. With the cap space they have available at their disposal, it will be interesting to see how Peter Chiarelli and Cam Neely approach filling Kelly’s absence.

Chris Neil Nails Chris Kelly With Knee-on-Knee Hit in Bruins’ Win Over Senators (Video)

As far as dirty hits go, the jury is out on this one.
