It's July.  Las Vegas is experiencing record heat nearing 120 degrees.  Death Valley is coming close to breaking their all time record highs.   Southern California isn't much better. Doesn't some ice hockey sound lovely right about now? You can experience a little cooling, as well get a sneak peak at the Anaheim Ducks prospects this weekend, July 5 - 7, at Anaheim Ice. The Ducks will host their annual prospect conditioning camp, which is a great way to introduce their prospects and draft picks to nutrition and training necessary to becoming a professional hockey player. While the conditioning and off ice portions are not open to the public, there will be three scrimmages at THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE on Friday, July 5 (9:15 a.m.), Saturday, July 6 (9:15 a.m.) and Sunday, July 7 (10:30 a.m.).  Scrimmages are free of charge. Four of the five players taken last Sunday in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft are scheduled to attend, including Shea Theodore (first round, 26th overall pick), Nick Sorensen, Keaton Thompson, and Grant Besse. Other players scheduled are Hampus Lindholm, Rickard Rakell, Peter Holland, and John Gibson, who shone in this year's World Junior championships.
