The most appropriate reaction to Kyle Turris' return to Phoenix on Tuesday night would be no reaction at all. Its true that Turris inability to live up to his draft status as the No. 3 pick in 2007 is the biggest reason the Coyotes are still staring at a giant hole in the middle of their top line. Its true that Turris was an outcast of the first order in the Coyotes' locker room when he returned in late November, a fact even the classiest veterans have admitted in private while others have taken public aim. Its true that Turris is putting up decent numbers in Ottawa -- not great, but better than he did here in Phoenix -- because hes getting a lot more ice time. But so what? Turris wasnt going to do that in Phoenix because he wasnt going to commit to coach Dave Tippetts style. He wasnt willing to play this team's game. And he didn't have many friends in the locker room because of his perceived arrogance and selfishness. Maybe Turris will grow and mature into a better player and a better man than he showed in Phoenix. Theres no reason to wish him anything but the best in that endeavor. He was just a kid who general manager Don Maloney has admitted the Coyotes rushed into service at too young an age. So why bother wasting any more time by booing him? Turris' time in Phoenix has already been labeled a complete waste of time by everyone involved.
