Phoenix Coyotes goalie Mike Smith was on the ice for Tuesday morning's skate, but a decision on whether he will play in Game 3 against the Chicago Blackhawks will be made prior to Tuesday night's faceoff.
Smith was hurt in the second period of Phoenix's 4-3 overtime loss on Saturday when he was struck on the head by the shoulder of Chicago's Andrew Shaw. Smith lay on the ice for five minutes but finished the game. He did not practice Monday.
Shaw skated with the Blackhawks on Tuesday morning. The NHL had not announced any disciplinary measures.
Phoenix center Martin Hanzal, who left Game 2 with an upper body injury, is a game-time decision. Left wing Lauri Korpikoski, also injured in that game, is out for Game 3.

CHICAGO In three games of the Coyotes-Blackhawks first-round playoff series, weve had three overtimes, two-game tying goals in the final minute of play, 14 different goal scorers and 124 saves from Phoenix goalie Mike Smith on 132 shots.
Normally, those would be dominant storylines. In this series, theyre window dressing.
When the Blackhawks and Coyotes spoke to the media following...

This guy is a complete douche...
This per Josh Rimer from XM Radio. Torres, a repeat offender, took an incredibly cheap shot last night at Marion Hossa, sending Hossa to the Hospital. The lack of NHL players have for one another right now is absolutely staggering. We aren't even halfway through the open round of the playoffs and already have surpassed last year's suspension number for the entire playoffs...

I was watching the Phoenix Coyotes game last night and like most was shocked to see that Raffi Torres wasn’t kicked out of the game for his check on Marian Hossa. The even more puzzling thing was the fact that Torres wasn't challenged to a fight later in the game by one of the Blackhawks players. Now the Chicago Blackhawks have to depend on the NHL’s Department of Player...

Yes, yes.... Raffi Torres is suspended indefinitely until his hearing on Friday which he and the NHLPA requested be delayed. Obviously, Torres, a repeat offender is lawyering up for his meeting.
@RoseTintedVisor called me out for not mentioning Bergenheim's penalties. No kidding. Gotta give you something to snap at me about.
Okay, here's some more. Jesse D. Eisenberg...

On Coach’s Corner tonight, the main topic was the Raffi Torres hit on Marian Hossa.
Really brutal hit here:
What is the Phoenix color guy even saying? Torres got no penalty, according to reports Hossa was sent to a Chicago hospital.
The NHL is basically out of control at this point. Wow.
Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa was taken off on a stretcher after Phoenix Coyote Raffi Torres launched his missile like body at him. Chicago Blackhawks Head Team Physician Dr. Michael...
