You know you did something wrong when the guys in the booth blow the goal horn when the puck is in the grand stands. How do you possibly miss this? Your two feet from the net and nobody is even near you and you shoot the puck in the stands? Good thing for him it wasn't a very important goal. The Predators still beat the Maple Leafs 4-1. Sadly for him he will probably be on ESPNs worst of the worst for quite a while. Shoot even the chick from Happy Gilmore could hit an open net goal from mid-ice.

Predators rookie Craig Smith was closing in on his team-leading eighth goal of the season on Thursday night. All the 22-year-old had to do was slide a puck into an empty net but the Wisconsin native tried to get a little flashy and went for an uncontested roof job, instead. The result? from Ken Campbell of The Hockey News, It’s not as though the Nashville Predators have never gone outside their own four walls in their quest for elite offensive talent. This is a team, after all, that has either traded for or signed the likes of Peter Forsberg, Paul Kariya, Steve Sullivan, J-P Dumont and Jason Arnott.
What the Predators have not been able to do, however, is cultivate...

The first period was dull as dirt...
