Igloo Dreams:
Sid is out indefinitely (again) with some concussion-like symptoms, though he has checked out okay on his tests.
Richard Park has a fractured foot and is out for 4-6 weeks.
Aside from obviously missing Sid tremendously, the team will miss Park's veteran presence.
This does, however, secure Joe Vitale's spot in the lineup for at least 4-6 weeks, however.
Kinda makes you wish the Pens hadn't traded Marc Letestu as well. There isn't much help at center in Wilkes-Barre. Ben Street is playing well, but he's not currently property of the NHL Penguins, so there must not be much thought of playing him in the NHL.

Malkin and Staal game time decisions against Detroit
Just a little over two weeks ago the Penguins were sitting pretty good with all their stars healthy and back on the ice. Now we are all of a sudden back to the injury shuffle. Jagr’s Success in Philly is Pittsburgh’s Loss

Pick Six: Tuesday December 13
What’s the new dirty word in hockey? The c-word.
Given Sidney Crosby’s current state of affairs, the concussion is officially the injury that no one wants a part of. If a player was hit in the head and he leaves the game, everyone mentions the c-word. Perhaps the team won’t call it that, but if it walks like a duck, and it talks like a duck, then it probably is...
What Sidney Crosby means to a generation of hockey fans
BY: DUSTIN POLLACK
If it’s at all possible, Sidney Crosby looked better in his return to the NHL after a 10-month layoff than he did when he left (He was on pace for 64 goals and 132 points.)
