Earlier this month we featured an article about the Dallas Stars and their plethora of moves so far this summer. To recap, the Stars have dealt several pieces away while acquiring Derek Roy, Ray Whitney and Jaromir Jagr. Are the Stars finished turning their roster over? Don't bet on it.

A report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch suggests that the Stars may be fielding calls from teams about the availability of left winger Brenden Morrow. There's no guarantee of truth to these rumors (yet) but it's believed the St. Louis Blues are legitimately interested in Morrow.

At this point would it really come as a surprise if the Stars were to deal Morrow? Probably not. After shipping Mike Ribeiro and Steve Ott out while bringing in the names mentioned above, the Stars appear to be intent on changing things up. Moving their captain, Morrow, would effectively complete the overhaul in Big D.

Judging by the article the St. Louis Blues are clearly at the very least interested in Morrow. It's unclear if any other teams are actively pursuing Morrow but we would imagine several would be if Morrow is indeed on the market. Plenty of teams could use a left winger with a bit of muscle which is exactly what Morrow provides. Interestingly enough, a beat reporter in Dallas denies the claim that the Blues are interested in Morrow, stating that nothing major has been cooking. This isn't to say Morrow isn't being shopped around but it does indicate there are no clear answers at this time.

Morrow comes with plenty of risk. Injuries derailed his 2011-12 season, allowing him to only skate in 57 games. There are questions over whether he will be able to stay healthy for a complete season. If he is, Morrow can provide a major offensive spark. He tallied 33 goals in 82 games during the 2010-11 campaign. He would be a nice boost to a team like the Blues - a club that struggles to find consistent offense on a nightly basis.

Stay tuned.
