Stuck in a three-game losing streak in which they have struggled to score goals, the Florida Panthers recalled center Quinton Howden, the team announced Friday.
Howden, who has played 41 games for the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL this season, was the Panthers' first-round pick in the 2010 draft.
The 21-year-old center has yet to play in an NHL regular season game.

But, in the end, Senators netminder Craig Anderson out-dueled fellow-goalie Jose Theodore for the second-time this season, en route to the 3-1 victory.
The Flyers visited the Florida Panthers on Saturday night, and they enjoyed every minute of it. With goals from Kimmo Timonen, Luke Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, Tye McGinn (First NHL goal), and a hat trick from Matt Read (First NHL Hatty), the Flyers easily took this one.
