St. Louis Blues center David Backes hit Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson from behind late in the third period of Thursday night's NHL game at the Scottrade Center, leading to a brawl between the two teams. David Backes received a 2 minute boarding penalty, and the Coyotes scored on the ensuing power play to tie the game at 1-1. However, the Blues won the ensuing shootout. H/T Puck Daddy.
