Every team naturally steps up their game come playoff time, but Bruins center David Krejci is setting the bar high for his teammates. Krejci notched his 6th and 7th goals in the playoffs in Saturday’s Eastern Conference finals win over the Penguins, and has stepped up his play since the playoffs began. Even Patrice Bergeron, a guy who normally flies under the radar because of his quiet nature, has thrown down his gloves all in an effort to get his teammates fired up. The added intensity doesn’t go unnoticed by the team. Check out the video above to hear what some of Bergeron and Krejci’s teammates had to say before Game 2.

David Krejci Inching Closer to Becoming Bruins Playoff Legend With Continued Incredible Play

It may seem a little strange to put David Krejci among some of the greatest players in Bruins history, but when it comes to the postseason, it’s kind of tough to question the center’s resume. Krejci is having himself another stellar postseason this year, and with the B’s just six wins from winning a Stanley Cup, there are some who see a Conn Smythe in his future. While that’s...

David Krejci Won’t Put Himself Next to Penguins’ Stars, Says Bruins’ Success Rooted in Team Play

The Bruins certainly don’t undervalue David Krejci, but that doesn’t mean the softspoken center doesn’t go overlooked around the rest of the league. However, Krejci continues to save his best for the playoffs, and that alone makes the rest of the NHL take notice as to how good the playmaking pivot really is. Krejci continued his sensational play Saturday night in Game 1 of...

David Krejci, Bruins Shine in Best Images From Dominating Game 1 Victory Over Penguins (Photos)

The Bruins came into Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals as underdogs. It would be difficult to call them that after this one. Boston dominated throughout, running away from the Penguins en route to a 3-0 victory and a one-game lead in this best-of-seven series. David Krejci‘s two goals paced the Bruins to a surprisingly easy victory, in a game that set the stage for some serious...

Malkin, Bergeron fight at end of period

At the end of the second period of Game 1 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins, there was some pushing and shoving between the two teams.  Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron took things to the next level and actually dropped the gloves in this brief tilt.  It wasn’t much of a fight, but it set the tone that these two teams are...

Bruins score awesome tic-tac-toe goal

It’s not often that passing plays work out this perfectly, but this play was absolutely awesome.  The Boston Bruins big line of Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton executed a perfect “ABC” offensive zone entry on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first period.  Horton drove wide, Lucic went hard to the net to draw the defenseman towards him, and David Krejci went to the high...

Patrice Bergeron-Evgeni Malkin Fight Highlights Nasty End to Second Period of Game 1 (Video)

It didn’t take long for the Bruins and Penguins to get nasty with each other. The two teams got real testy with each other at the end of the second period in Game 1, and that led to a throwdown between two usually “calm” combatants. Boston’s Patrice Bergeron and Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin got tied up at center ice, and they ended up dropping the gloves and engaging in a...

Patrice Bergeron, Bruins’ Top Two Lines Overwhelm Penguins Again in Game 2 Win (Video)

Entering the Eastern Conference finals, a major storyline was whether or not the Bruins would be able to keep up with Pittsburgh’s vaunted offense. But through the first two games, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin & Co. have been nowhere to be found. Instead, it’s been the Bruins’ top two lines that have dominated. In a 6-1 rout in Game 2 on Monday, Boston’s top six forwards...

Bruins steal Game 1 on road from Pens

Round 1, make that Game 1, to the Boston Bruins. David Krejci scored two more goals during his torrid postseason and the Bruins shut down the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0 in the opening game of the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday night. Nathan Horton added an insurance goal in the third period and Tuukka Rask stopped 29 shots for the Bruins, who silenced Sidney Crosby and the...

Boston Surprises Pittsburgh With A 3-0 Victory

Question being brought up is do you replace Vokoun with Fleury?  I say absolutely not, how about working on trying to score and defending a bit better first. David Krejci with the game winner mid-way through the first period.

Bruins-Penguins: Genie Malkin, “The Man” That CheapShot Bergy Is Wearing Something Very Questionable (PHOTO)

(PHOTO: Twitter) Genie Malkin took on Patrice Bergeron in a brawl after period 2 of Game One of the Eastern Conference finals. The Penguins “star” took some cheapshots at the Bruins alternate captain when he was on the ice. But we all know Bergy is tough as nails… Not sure what Malkin is…. Bruins Grab ‘Steeltown Stunner’ Win From Penguins in Surprisingly Easy Fashion (Video)

It wasn’t supposed to be this easy. Right? The Bruins cruised to a 3-0 win over the Penguins in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, laying waste to the expectations that many had set out for the team entering play. After all, the Pens were the ones thought to have the superior squad, and the B’s were decidedly the underdogs. That perception has changed in a big way after...
