Although the deadline was rather dull from an Islanders fans perspective, maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Garth Snow, at least so far, has proven to be a competent GM and did not throw away our future. With 2 extra draft picks in this years draft, which is supposedly the deepest draft in years, the Islanders might be able to find some impact players. In addition to the draft picks, the recent play of Blake Comeau, Frans Nielsen and Jeff Tambellini, the "kids" are proving that maybe the Islanders have a future. With the likes of Kyle Okposo and Dustin Kohn still down in Bridgeport maybe there is something for fans to look forward to. All of this because Garth Snow did not budge from his position.
