As reported by TSN's Bob McKenzie, the Phoenix Coyotes have resigned defenseman Derek Morris to a four year deal worth $11 million.Morris spent last season with the Bruins for 58 games and then was traded to the Coyotes and played in 18 games and the playoffs. Morris had 29 points in 76 games while also playing well in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. For the Coyotes, Morris provides veteran leadership to a young and still rebuilding hockey club. Morris is comfortable in Arizona so look for him to have a few more solid seasons for the Coyotes.
