Fox 2 News Headlines The news regularly gets videobombed by overzealous passer-bys, but on Tuesday the local news received it’s comeuppance. While broadcasting live from the Hockeytown Winter Festival for the Winter Classic, WJBK reporter Jennifer Hammond was interrupted by this Detroit Red Wings fan. While he was busy looking into the camera, he was oblivious to the ice patch that he was about to hysterically slip on. I don’t think an individual should be allowed to wear a Gordie Howe jersey if you fall on the ice that clumsily. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Olympic nod should settle Howard

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- What's wrong with Jimmy Howard this season? According to Detroit's goaltending coach, Jim Bedard, nothing. "This whole thing about Jimmy having a rough year, obviously, you're judged by wins and losses," a somewhat irritated Bedard said on Wednesday. "But for the first 20 games, I thought he played very well, and a lot of those night...

Eaves leaves Winter Classic in 1st period

Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Eaves left the Winter Classic in the first period after being cross-checked up high by Toronto's Joffrey Lupul. Eaves crumpled to the ice Wednesday and eventually made his way back to the locker room. He's had concussion problems in his career and also broke his jaw in November 2011. This injury was announced as an upper-body injury, and...

It’s time for the Red Wings to perform an audit of their fintess, nutirition and training programs

I've been a little busy with my own "Pacifica-body injury" (thank Gord I drive that car...It's saved my ass repeatedly) over the past couple of days, but I've been thinking about this for a long time, and between Darren Helm's inability to play in the Winter Classic due to a groin injury, Jonas Gustavsson's inability to play in the Winter Classic due...

They took Thursday off, after spending Wednesday relishing the opportunity to play at Michigan Stadium in the Winter Classic. The 3-2 shoot-out loss to Toronto left the Wings 18-14-10, with 46 points after 42 games. They’re going...

VIDEO: Major videobomb FAIL for Red Wings fan at Winter Classic

During a live feed from yesterday’s Winter Classic in Ann Arbor, some ass clown Red Wings fan attempted a videobomb on FOX 2′s Jennifer Hammond during a live feed before the game. I guess though ‘attempted’ was the wrong term to use here. The fan succeeded in getting on TV but it’s clear icy sidewalks and being an ass don’t mix. It does make for good television though.

Red Wings Fan Attempts to Videobomb Local News Broadcast at Winter Classic, Fails Terribly (Video)

A record crowd of over 100,000 people attended the 2014 Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs at the University of Michigan on New Year’s Day. It was a day to remember for all in attendance, except for maybe one fan who embarrassed himself when attempting to videobomb a live pre-game segment on a local FOX affiliate. The fan, who was wearing an old...

Red Wings fan eats it while trying to video bomb newscast

Jennifer Hammond of Detroit’s Fox 2 was about to be the victim of a pretty standard video bomb during yesterday’s Winter Classic. The league will decide if there will be supplemental discipline, but the good news is that Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that nothing is “broken” for Eaves, the Detroit Free Press’ Helene St...

How Bad Was The Winter Classic?

from Allan Muir of Sports Illustrated, Winter? Sure. The NHL’s game of the year was postcard pretty, with the falling snow clashing brilliantly with the bright red and blue sweaters of the Red Wings and the Maple Leafs. But a classic? Not quite. Toronto’s 3-2 shootout win over Detroit at the Big House was heavy on the spectacle that draws in the casual viewer ...
