Devils captain Nico Hischier signs 5-year, $58.5M extension

New Jersey Devils captain Nico Hischier signed a five-year, $58.5 million contract extension on Wednesday. Per the team, the 27-year-old forward will receive $14.5 million in both 2027-28 and 2028-29, $12.1 million in 2029-30 and $8.7 million in each of the last two seasons of the deal.
