Tom Gulitti at the Bergen Record reports that when asked about David Clarkson's bad bounce goal to tie last night's game against the Rangers with just 47 seconds remaining, numerous Devils players mentioned a bad bounce off the partition that led to a Buffalo's lone goal against them last week, including Andy Greene who shot the puck around the glass that led to Clarkson's tally...

"You throw it in there and you've seen what happened not just the last game before the break there, but over the last couple years," Greene noted. "You never know with the partitions. You put it up there and see what happens and it worked out the way it did."

...now that's what you call home ice advantage.

Here's the video...

Dave Lozo at NHL.com has the Rangers reaction to the bad bounce:

John Tortorella...

"There's nothing you can do. It's not like we had a breakdown or anything like that. It's a rim, it goes off the stanchion. We don't want to accept it, but again, you hope one will go your way somewhere later in the year. We can't do anything about that."

Dan Girardi...

"I don't know. I don't think it's easier to swallow. Any loss is tough. It's a tough break. I thought we handled ourselves well after that and just laughed it off. It's a bad bounce, but we have to go try to win in overtime. We just came up a little short."

Marty Biron...

"It's probably as frustrating as ever, because you feel like you had a good game and you were about to limit their chances down the stretch. I mean, they got a bounce. If it's something you create or you make mistakes, but this is frustrating. It's a bad bounce, it happens at times."

...very impressed with the Rangers reaction. They had every reason in the world to ***** and moan but they took the high road. Bad bounces even out over the course of the season, so a good bounce should be coming the Rangers way soon.
