Count me as one who didn't arrive at day one of training camp imagining I'd have to research Deep Vein Thrombosis. That's the very scary affliction that has set in on Capitals' winger Tomas Fleischmann. From my online research Sunday evening, here's how scary:  "In deep vein thrombosis, blood clots form in the deep veins of the lower legs and thighs. This is often caused by sitting for long periods of time, either in an airplane or a car, which can limit circulation in the legs. The resulting blood clot can travel unnoticed through the blood stream and lodge in the brain, lungs, heart or other areas causing severe damage to organs and in some cases, death. The good news is it's easy to avoid the problem."If you are traveling overseas or cross country, make sure to get up and walk around at least every two hours, and try not to sleep more than four hours at a time," said Alan Lumsden, M.D., a vascular surgeon with the Methodist DeBakey Hear...
