(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By JOHN MARSHALL AP Sports Writer Phoenix Coyotes captain Shane Doan waited a long time for a season like this. The only player remaining from the franchise's Winnipeg days, Doan had his first hat trick during the regular season and led the Coyotes to their first division title in 33 years as an NHL franchise. After Phoenix knocked off the Chicago Blackhawks in six games, Doan will play in the second round of the playoffs for the first time in his 16-year NHL career. It's a big accomplishment for a player who's seen his share of hardships with the franchise, from the ongoing ownership saga to numerous playoff disappointments. The Coyotes open the second round against the Nashville Predators on Friday night in the desert.
