The Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey is a Quebec Semi-Pro hockey league. Occasionally washed up hockey players will join the league, and as you can see from the video, this is very low quality hockey.Former NHL player Donald Brashear attacked his opponent in this game between Saguenay and Rivière-du-loup, much like Todd Bertuzzi did to Steve Moore. Thankfully, the player was uninjured and you can see him get up after Brashear lands on top of him, unlike what happened with Moore.Moore had his playing career ended by this play, and cheap shots like this have no place in hockey. It utterly disgusts me when I see something like this happen. Brashear of all people should know about cheap shots and the dangerous consequences they have, since McSorely took one at him that ended up being highly publicized. The referees did a fantastic job of keeping everyone in line, and keeping this from turning into a full-blown melee. The worst part of this video other than the assault, is the fact that the fans cheered him on when the incident happened. You can guarantee that Brashear will be suspended for this; cheap shots like this will not be tolerated in hockey at any level.[YouTube]

So, let's get in the mood for hockey season by focusing on the bad...
And this wasn't even in the minor leagues that are attached to the major leagues here in North America...
Donald Brashear has been playing in the LNAH (a minor league based in Quebec province) since he's on the downside of his hockey-playing Laffer Curve...
He sucker punched Aaron Ward. He destroyed Blair Betts' face with a blindside hit. He ate up cap space and was the epitome of irrelevance before blaming the Rangers and demanding a trade during his (thankfully) short time with the Rangers.
There are many reasons to despise Donald Brashear. And now we can add one more. The 41 year old Brashear is currently plating in the...
Believe it or not, Donald Brashear is still playing hockey. He's currently competing in a semi-pro league in Quebec. At age 41, Brashear is clearly over the hill. But this clip from last night shows he's still pretty good at sucker-punching opposing players:
Once an idiot, always an idiot.
The Canadian Rockies don't have nothin' on Winnipeg's latest molehill. Evander Kane, frequent focus of manufactured controversy (see: cash brick phone), is apparently up to no good again. His crime? Not reporting to Jets training camp... three days early.
Seriously? This is what you have to cover, Winnipeg Sun? The new NHL season is starting up, finally the lockout...
Today on Twitter, there was an "leaked" Winnipeg Jets schedule released for the upcoming 48 game 2012-13 season and it has caused quite a stir on social media sites around the city, province, and country.
One thing it proved to me was that hockey is still a big deal in Winnipeg.
While many are speaking out boldly in other markets to boycott the shortened NHL season...
Recall when Todd Bertuzzi sucker punched Steve Moore? Donald Brashear, now playing for Rivière-du-Loup CIMT in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH), went all chump like on someone named Gaby...

For all those Winnipeg Jets fans who were Toronto Maple Leafs fans in the interim between the Jets first NHL team and second NHL team, there must have been alot of groaning going on when the Jets signed another former Maple Leaf player to the fold.
With the likes of Nik...
