from Aaron Portzline of Puck-Rakers at the Columbus Dispatch, Six NHL coaches have been fired already this season, all of them with clubs ahead of the Blue Jackets in the standings and three of them with winning records at the time of the firing. As of today, Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson said he had no plans to make Scott Arniel No. 7.
“Coaching is not an issue on this team as to where we are right now,” Howson said. “The players have to take it upon themselves to play better.
“We’re all struggling through this, players included. This is not easy. We have to, as a group, keep persevering and try to find the light at the end of the tunnel.”
The Blue Jackets are 9-20-4 after tonight’s 6-4 loss to the Blues.
