For Bruins fans, 2011 was a good year. The B’s won the Stanley Cup, and for the first time since 1972, they struck gold in the NHL entry draft, selecting defenseman Dougie Hamilton the the 9th overall pick. Hamilton spent 2012 playing in the OHL, joining the Bruins’ Blue Line this year at age 19. He’s already made his presence felt, with a breakout performance against the Maple Leafs in March, and with a lot more hockey potentially front of him, he can only get better from here. Check out the video above to hear more on the rookie defenseman.

The Bruins have owned the rights to center Carl Soderberg since 2007. Now, there’s a chance they may actually see him Stateside. Good news B’s fans: Skelleftea AIK just won four...

Claude Julien shakes up the Bruins lines in practice... not sure what he's smoking, though

Last night we saw Jaromir Jagr get dropped down to play with Daniel Paille and Gregory Campbell because of reasons, or as Claude Julien calls it -- defense first. From CSNNE: “This is a big game and [Montreal] is a good team that’s very good in the offensive zone,” said Julien. “I don’t think Tyler was ready for that. So I had to put a centerman there with some...

Nathan Horton’s Legendary Game 7 Goal Against Canadiens Still Live On in Memories (Video)

The Bruins and Canadiens battled through seven games back in 2011 before Nathan Horton‘s overtime goal in Game 7 sent the Bruins on to the next round. They went on to win the Stanley Cup that year, of course, making Horton’s heroics a regular thing throughout the course of the team’s run to the Cup final. Horton’s goal against the Canadiens rings true especially as the B’s...

The ONLY Thing Good That Happened During The Bruins Game…..Mangled Hab (VIDEO)

When you can’t get a SINGLE shot off during a two-man advantage in the final minute of a one goal game, there isn’t much to talk about without PUKING. However, MANGLED HAB, makes every Bruins fan happy especially when he was the aggressor. Alexei Emelin of the Canadiens “tried” to run Milan Lucic and he is going to lose that battle 10 out of 10 times…..and he did just that...

Bruins’ Lack of Urgency Proves Costly in Loss With Team Unable to Come From Behind in Final Seconds (Video)

The Bruins dropped their final regular-season contest to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night 2-1. The Habs capitalized in the first few minutes of the match, which left the Bruins trailing throughout the entire contest. Daniel Paille scored the lone goal for the B’s, who struggled to equalize the game. They were presented with an opportunity late in the game as the final...

David Krejci hit on Brendan Gallagher and Alexei Emelin collides with Milan Lucic

I find it funny that Canadiens defenseman Francis Bouillon tries to fight David Krejci for his nice hit on Brendan Gallagher, but of course the minute that Boston Bruins Andrew Ference steps in for Krejci, Bouillon acts like your typical Montreal Canadien and drops to the ice and wants nothing to do with Ference. How about this attempted hit by Canadiens defenseman Alexei Emelin...

By Matthew Feuerman of TiqIQ, The Bruins and Canadiens never like each other, especially when they’re fighting for the top seed in the Northeast Division. As of Thursday morning, only one point separates the two teams. That one point could dictate who gets home ice in the dog days of the NHL playoffs this season. Each team plays once before their Saturday tilt, which means any...

Moves like Jagr: Bruins, Jagr down Devils 1-0

BOSTON—Thursday’s Bruins-Devils game had many interesting subplots to it. For one, the Devils and  veteran netminder Martin Brodeur came to town, while Tuukka Rask,  still relatively new to the role of starting goaltender played host.  Boston was the victor in…

Hurricanes-Bruins Preview

After coming up short in a Northeast Division showdown, the Boston Bruins look to get back on track and continue their season-long dominance on home ice. A date with reeling Carolina should provide them with a good opportunity to do so, despite the Hurricanes' recent domination of the series. The Bruins will try for their eighth win in nine home games Monday night when they...
